This heavy wooden Moroccan Mirror started life as a dark brown, shiny, unremarkable piece of furniture. After a base coat of Aubusson Blue, followed by a wash of Napoleon Blue, the whole thing was painted with Florence before rubbing down to let the layers of different blues show through. Copper foil was then applied in a splash & drip method before the whole mirror was waxed and aged with black wax.

This was a personal piece as I was given the mirror following the death of a close friend in 2017 – I’m sure she would approve of the transformation…
